The Application Process: Surface Preparation

When preparing for a coating job, and considering costs (labor, in this case) involved with the application, applicators can be cajoled into disregarding the time and effort required to properly prepare the substrate to be coated.  TrueBlue recommends that all concrete be diamond ground, rather than acid etched, as all too often latents from the chemical etching process are left behind, despite efforts to rinse and neutralize.  When diamond grinding, care should also be taken to vacuum all dust and ensure the concrete is bare, clean, and of the proper profile.  If you have any questions, please give us a call +1.816.741.7985 and we will be glad to assist and consult.
